October 27 | Last day to register for the California Fall Commencement. |
November 18 | California Fall 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Please plan to stay for the duration of the ceremony. Post ceremony celebrations should start after 7 pm. |
*Eligibility for the California Fall Commencement includes graduates from July 1-December 31, 2023.
The West Coast University California Fall 2023 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 18 at 4 p.m. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The ceremony is expected to take between 2-3 hours and ask that you and your guests stay for the duration of the ceremony. More details including the timeline for the day, guest experience, the Honda Center, and other logistics will be sent via WCU email in late October.
As new details are finalized, we will continue to provide updates on this website. Graduates also will receive information via email.
We are excited to share that, for the first time, all graduates will be formally inducted into the WCU Alumni Association at the end of the Commencement ceremony. Your Commencement program will include more information about this new addition to our WCU commencement traditions.

I need to modify my Commencement registration, what do I do?
Upon registering for your commencement, you should have received a confirmation via email. This confirmation email includes a link to modify your registration.
I am (or my guest is) living with a disability that requires accommodations in order to fully participate in and enjoy Commencement. I didn't indicate this on my commencement registration. How can I communicate this?
The commencement ceremony will be captioned live. Seating for the commencement ceremony will be general admission and seats are available on a first come first served basis. There will be a guest services team available at the Honda Center to assist with seating as needed on commencement day, but it is not necessary to contact anyone in advanced. Please plan to arrive early if you or your guests need ADA seating as its first come first served.
I would like to make reservations or reserve celebration space, how long will the ceremony last?
Graduates and their guests should plan to be at the Honda Center from about 3-7 pm. More details around this schedule will be sent to graduates in October via WCU email.
I completed my registration, when will I receive my guest tickets?
Graduate and guest tickets will be distributed electronically to graduate WCU emails in November.
I am eligible for the Fall CA Commencement ceremony, but I cannot attend due to a conflict. Can I attend another ceremony?
Please contact your campus Student Affairs Team to discuss alternate ceremony dates and options available to you. Student Affairs email addresses can be found at the bottom of this page.
I am a Master's or Doctoral Graduate, when will I be hooded?
Hooding will take place onstage by the Provost during the graduate recognition portion of the ceremony.
I have guests coming from outside of the USA. How do I obtain a graduate verification letter from WCU?
Students in Pending Graduate Status may print a verification of enrollment letter, which includes your anticipated graduation date, directly from the student portal. Follow this guide for assistance. When applying for a visa, students should provide both the verification letter along with the Commencement invitation email from West Coast University.
