Eligibility to participate in commencement is determined and confirmed by the West Coast University Registrar's Office. The registrar's team reviews academic records, graduation applications and degree requirements to ensure all graduates meet the criteria for participation.

Students will be notified of their eligibility via their WCU student email approximately two months prior to commencement.

Online graduates will receive an email inviting them to select the commencement ceremony in which they wish to participate. Graduates may choose only one ceremony, and once a selection has been made, it cannot be changed.

Requests to participate in a different ceremony after a selection has been submitted will require an exception request. Exceptions are reviewed based on venue capacity and ticket availability, and approval is not guaranteed. This process helps ensure adequate seating and accommodations are available for all graduates and guests.

Students in Pending Graduate Status may print a verification of enrollment letter, which includes your anticipated graduation date, directly from the student portal. Follow this guide for assistance.
