Summer California

Eligibility

Students in Spring I & II for the 10-week ground programs, Spring I, Spring II, & Summer I for the 8-week Summer online programs, and the DPT and SLP cohorts are eligible to attend the Summer 2024 CA Commencement. Invitations and registration details will be sent to WCU emails two months prior to the ceremony. If you do not receive this email invitation two months prior to the ceremony and would like to attend, please contact us to check your eligibility.

About the Summer CA Commencement Ceremony

The West Coast University Summer 2024 California Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, July 12 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The ceremony is expected to take between 2-3 hours, and we strongly encourage you and your guests to stay for the duration of the ceremony. More details including the timeline for the day, guest experience, the Honda Center, and other logistics will be sent via WCU email in early June.

As new details are finalized, we will continue to provide updates on this website. Graduates also will receive information via email.

Frequently Asked Questions:


The number of guest tickets each graduating student is allotted will depend on the size of the Commencement venue and the anticipated number of graduates attending the ceremony. Your Commencement Registration Form will show you the maximum number of guest tickets you are allotted for your ceremony; please select the number of guest tickets you need when filling out the form. Each guest ticket equates to one audience seat. Details about ticket delivery or pickup will be included within communications leading up to commencement.

Use the link within your confirmation email to ‘Modify Registration’. If you need additional support, please contact your student affairs team. Each campus’ commencement email address is included at the bottom of this page.

Please contact the Commencement Planning Team on or by June 20, 2024 to discuss the needed accommodations.

Graduates and their guests should plan to be at the Honda Center at least 1 hour prior to the ceremony. We expect the ceremony to last between 2-3 hours. More details around this schedule will be sent to graduates in June via WCU email.

Guest tickets must be claimed by the graduate in the Universe ticketing platform. A link and instructions will be included in the graduate confirmation email following completion of the commencement registration form.

Graduates are permitted to attend another ceremony of their choice in 2024. Please work with your Student Affairs team to make this request. Contact information can be found at the bottom of this webpage. Invitations will be sent approximately two (2) months prior to Commencement.

Hooding will take place onstage by the program dean during the graduate recognition portion of the ceremony.

Students in Pending Graduate Status may print a verification of enrollment letter, which includes your anticipated graduation date, directly from the student portal.

Students in Graduate Status please reach out to your campus registrar for confirmation of your status and a verification letter. Campus registrar contact information can be found below. When applying for a visa, graduates should provide both the verification letter along with the Commencement invitation email from West Coast University.
